Route 130, also known asKeaau-Pahoa Road andPahoa-Kalapana Road is a state highway inHawaii County,Hawaii, United States. It runs fromRoute 11 atKe'aau through thePuna District toKalapana.
Route 130 starts from the intersection ofKeaau on Route 11, in the south ofHilo. After a junction with It heads south on the east side ofKīlauea toPahoa, whereRoute 132 branches out viaKapoho toCape Kumukahi with further connection toRoute 137, and curves toward the west, ending nearKaimū following a junction with Route 137 itself.[2]
Route 130 used to travel further to the west along theChain of Craters Road inHawaii Volcanoes National Park. However, it was truncated to its current terminus due to the lava flows fromPuʻu ʻŌʻō Crater that started in 1983 and buried sections of Kaimū and Kalapana.
