Habsheim (French pronunciation:[apsaim]ⓘ) is acommune in theHaut-Rhindepartment inAlsace in north-easternFrance. It forms part of theMulhouse Alsace Agglomération, the inter-communal local government body for theMulhouse conurbation.[3]
TheThalbahn Habsheim was a 24.6 km (15.3 mi) longnarrow-gauge railway with a gauge of600 mm (1 ft 11+5⁄8 in). It was built duringWorld War I by German soldiers and Romanianprisoners of war as a militarylight railway.
