Håkon Randal (9 July 1930 inGulen – 22 July 2012)[1] was a Norwegian politician for theConservative Party.
He was elected to theNorwegian Parliament fromHordaland in 1973, and was re-elected on two occasions. From February to June 1982 he was VicePresident of the Storting.
He chaired the local party chapter inBømlo from 1967 to 1971 and the county chapter from 1977 to 1979. Between 1977 and 1984 he was a member of the central party board; from 1980 he was also deputy party leader. His career in politics ended with the post ofCounty Governor of Hordaland, which he held from 1984 to 1998.
Outside politics he worked in teaching, both in schools inManger andBremnes but also theRoyal Norwegian Navy. He presided theNorges forsvarsforening from 2001 to 2005.
