Glomerulopathy is a disease that impacts the glomeruli in thenephron , either inflammatory or noninflammatory.[ 1] collapsing glomerulopathy ,glomerulocystic kidney disease , glomerulomegaly,membranous nephropathy , and tip lesion glomerulopathy.[ 2]
Collapsing glomerulopathy (CG) is a clinicopathologic entity that involveshypertrophy andhyperplasia ofpodocytes and segmentar or global collapse of theglomerulus .[ 3]
Glomerulocystic kidney disease is a rare form ofrenal cyst disease. Cortical microcysts, which are portrayed by cystic dilatation ofBowman's spaces , are its defining feature.[ 4]
Glomerulomegaly is defined by unusually largeglomeruli .[ 5]
Membranous nephropathy (MN) is an uncommonautoimmune condition in whichautoantibodies directed primarily againstpodocyte antigens target theglomerulus , causing electron-denseimmune complexes to form, complement activation to occur, and severeproteinuria .[ 6]
The glomerular tip lesion (GTL) is a unique histopathologic lesion that appears in idiopathicnephrotic syndrome patients.[ 7]
