Glencoe is anunincorporated community inAlamance County, North Carolina, United States onNorth Carolina Highway 62, north-northeast of downtownBurlington.
It is located on theHaw River. Glencoe is located north ofMorgantown, and west-northwest ofCarolina, a neighboring unincorporated settlement also on the Haw River. Glencoe is also home toTextile Mill Town, andTextile Heritage Museum.
TheGlencoe Mill Village Historic District andGlencoe School are listed on theNational Register of Historic Places.[2]
