Georgios Amanatidis (Greek:Γεώργιος Αμανατίδης; born 4 April 1970) is a Greek former professionalfootballer who played as adefender.
Amanatidis was captain of the Greek sideOlympiacos F.C., and a member of the team which reached 7 Greek Championships successively (1997–2003).[1] After 13 years in Olympiacos FC, he joined the roster of his former coachTakis Lemonis at Cypriot clubAPOEL in which he won thechampionship also. He also played forApollon Kalamarias F.C.,Kerkyra F.C.,[2]Ethnikos Asteras F.C. andPanachaiki FC.
Amanatidis earned 18caps for theGreece national team.[3]
He is not related to Greek footballer and strikerIoannis Amanatidis.
Olympiacos
