George Peter Wilbur (March 6, 1941 – February 1, 2023) was an American actor and professional stuntman, best known for playingMichael Myers in bothHalloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers andHalloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

George Peter Wilbur was born inConnecticut and served in theU.S. Navy. He worked as a wrangler on a ranch inTucson, Arizona, where he worked as an extra in the 1966 filmEl Dorado and was recruited as a stand-in performer forJohn Wayne. Wilbur later moved toCalifornia, where he worked as an extra and stunt double.^[1]

Wilbur playedMichael Myers inHalloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers andHalloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.^[2][3] He was credited as a stunt player inHalloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, anotherHalloween sequel, although not in the role of Michael Myers as actor and stuntmanDon Shanks played the role. His career as a stuntman lasted for 40 years and involved over 100 television and film projects. He was a member of the Hollywood Stuntmen'sHall of Fame.^[4]

Wilbur was notably referenced in Family Guy, fictionalised as the stage name of character Tom Tucker earlier in his career. In the same episode, archive footage of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers featuring Wilbur as the titular character is played with Seth McFarlane voicing over the scene as Tom Tucker.
