TheGeneral Assembly ofBudapest (Hungarian:Fővárosi Közgyűlés,lit.'Capital City Assembly'[ˈføːvaːroʃiˈkøzɟyːleːʃ]) is aunicameral body consisting of 33 members, who are elected byproportional representation in a single citywide constituency with an electoral threshold of 5%, and theMayor of Budapest (who iselected directly). Each term for the mayor and assembly members lasts five years.[citation needed]
