Frederikshavn Municipality (Danish:Frederikshavn Kommune) is the northernmostDanish municipality, located inRegion Nordjylland.

As a result ofKommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), it is a merger between the previous municipalities ofFrederikshavn,Skagen andSæby. The new municipality has an area of 642 km² and a total population of 57,882 (2025).[1]

The first mayor of the new municipality was Erik Sørensen (Social Democrats). Since 2014 it has been Birgit Hansen which governs by a broad coalition with the rest of all the parties.
