Frankie Dean, known by hisstage name asFranko Fraize, is an independent British rapper. He is the cousin of popularYouTuber Jack Dean, known as JaackMaate.[1]
Fraize started posting his music onMySpace andYouTube, eventually being featured onBBC Norfolk,BBC Suffolk andBBC Radio 1Xtra before having his single "Treasures" featuring Kamilla Lovett playlisted onBBC Radio 1 in January 2014.[2] The video for the track had also been added tomusic TV channelsFlava andChannel AKA.[3]
In 2012, he supportedMike Skinner on theNorwich leg of The D.O.T. tour.[4] Prior to having his track "Treasures" playlisted, Fraize had an earlier single – "Watch How I'm Moving" – playlisted as well.[3][5] He also had his video for "Hand Me Downs" chosen for theBBC Music Video Festival where it was broadcast on big screens across the UK.[3] In December 2013, "Hand Me Downs" was featured onSky Sports' football magazine showSoccer AM.[2][6]
In August, Fraize's single "Underdog" was featured on theBBC'sThe Football League Show and later onSoccer AM.
Fraize started working forBT aged 19 as an apprentice. As of December 2015, he still works for BT in Ethernet inNorwich.[2][5]
