In the context ofIslam, afaajir (Arabic:فاجرfājir; plural فجرةfajarah) is a "wicked evil-doer", i.e. a "sinner by action".[1] Comparekafir, a "sinner by disbelief inAllah".

The word appears in The Qur'an in Surah Abasa:

اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡكَفَرَةُ الۡفَجَرَةُ
"Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allâh, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad), (and) the Fajarah (wicked evil doers)."

— Quran 80:42[1]
