Exploration logging is the process ofwireline logging,geophysical logging,geotechnical logging or geological logging of a drill hole, its core, or its rock cuttings forpetrophysics orpetrology. The practice is usually used in themining,mineral exploration oroil andnatural gas sectors.[1]
Note that logging in this context does not refer tologging trees.
