Edson Walter Shaw (August 7, 1895 – October 30, 1964) was a professionalAmerican football player who played in theNational Football League (NFL) with theRock Island Independents,Canton Bulldogs and theAkron Pros. Shaw won an NFL Championship in1922 with the Bulldogs. He finish his career in1923, playing for the Pros. Before playing professionally, Shaw playedcollege football at theUniversity of Nebraska. He lettered in football in 1915, 1916 and 1917.[1] Shaw was an assistant coach atClemson under his former Nebraska coachE. J. Stewart in 1921.[2]
