Sodium methylparaben (sodium methylpara-hydroxybenzoate) is acompound with formula Na(CH3(C6H4COO)O).[1] It is thesodiumsalt ofmethylparaben.[1]

It is afood additive with theE number E219 which is used as apreservative.[2]
