Duvernay is ahamlet incentral Alberta, Canada within theCounty of Two Hills No. 21.[2] It is located 1.6 km (1.0 mi) north of the intersection ofHighway 36 andHighway 29 along the south bank of theNorth Saskatchewan River, approximately 53 km (33 mi) southwest ofSt. Paul. The hamlet ofBrosseau is located immediately across the river along the north bank.
The hamlet has the name ofLudger Duvernay.[3] TheDuvernay Formation, astratigraphical unit of theWestern Canadian Sedimentary Basin was named for the hamlet.[4]
Duvernay recorded a population of 26 in the1991 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada.[1]
