Duncan Robert Heath (born 6 November 1981) is anEnglish former first-class cricketer.
Heath was born atGrimsby and was educated atSir John Nelthorpe School, before going up toPembroke College, Cambridge to study German and Russian.[1] While at Cambridge he made his debut infirst-class cricket forCambridge UCCE againstMiddlesex atFenner's in 2002.[2][notes 1] He played two further first-class matches in 2002 for Cambridge UCCE, as well as playing a first-class match forCambridge University againstOxford University atOxford.[2] He played three first-class matches for Cambridge UCCE in 2003, as well as one match for Cambridge University.[2] His final first-class appearance came for Cambridge University in 2005.[2] Playing a total of nine first-class matches while at Cambridge, Heath scored a total of 256 runs at anaverage of 17.06, with a high score of 75.[3] He took 8 wickets with his right-armmedium pace bowling, with best figures of 3 for 28.[3] He gainedblues in both cricket andfootball, with Heath playing as a goalkeeper forCambridge University A.F.C.[1]
Heath playedminor counties cricket forLincolnshire in 2001 and 2002, making five appearances in theMinor Counties Championship,[4] as well as two appearances in theminor counties one-day tournament.[5] His brother,John, also played first-class cricket.
