Doxanthrine is asynthetic compound which is apotent andselectivefull agonist for thedopamineD1 receptor.[1][2] Doxanthrine has been shown to beorally active in producing contralateral rotation in the6-hydroxydopaminerat model ofParkinson's disease.[3]
