Diruthenium phosphide is a binaryinorganic compound ofruthenium metal andphosphorus with the chemical formulaRu2P.[1]

Preparation

Diruthenium phosphide can be prepared by heating both elements in vacuum at above 1000 °C:[2][3]

8 Ru + P4 → 4Ru2P

Properties

Diruthenium phosphide forms crystals ofrhombic crystal system; the structure of thelead dichloride type.

Uses

Diruthenium phosphide can be used as a catalyst.[4][5]
