Dendostrea frons, thefrond oyster, is a species ofbivalvemollusc in thefamilyOstreidae.
It can be found along the Atlantic Coast of North America, ranging fromNorth Carolina to theWest Indies.[1] In 2013 this oyster was found in Ireland inCounty Kerry. The only previous record from Ireland is fromCounty Mayo.[2]
