Thedelicate slender opossum (Marmosops parvidens) is a small pouchlessmarsupial of the familyDidelphidae[2] that occurs inFrench Guiana,Guyana,Suriname, and adjacentVenezuela andBrazil.Marmosops pinheiroi,Marmosops bishopi andMarmosops juninensis had long been considered to represent the same species, untilparvidens andpinheiroi were found insympatry in French Guiana. This species is found in moistprimarytropical rainforest at elevations up to 2000 m.[1] It isnocturnal and partiallyarboreal, and feeds on insects and fruit.[1]
