Dear Miss Phoebe is amusical with abook byChristopher Hassall and music byHarry Parr-Davies. It is based on the playQuality Street byJ.M. Barrie.

It premiered at theTheatre Royal, Birmingham before transferring to thePhoenix Theatre in London'sWest End, where it ran for 283 performances between 13 October 1950 and 16 June 1951. The original London cast includedCarol Raye,Peter Graves,Olga Lindo,Moya Nugent,Gretchen Franklin andNoel Dyson.[1] The song "I Leave My Heart in an English Garden" from it is particularly well-known.[2][3]
