Dave Cummings (bornDavid Charles Conners,[1] March 13, 1940 – October 5, 2019) was apornographic actor who billed himself as the "oldest living malepornstar".[2]
Born inSaratoga Springs, New York, Cummings' background is unusual for a porn actor: he received both aBachelor of Science degree ineconomics and amaster's degree inpublic administration; in addition, he spent over 25 years as an officer in theUnited States Army, retiring with the rank oflieutenant colonel. He was married for 22 years and had two children and four grandchildren.[3]
He was almost 55 years old before he launched his acting career withThe Devil in Miss Jones 5: The Inferno and was regarded as a major adult porn star appearing in hundreds ofadult films and a reputation for sexualstamina.[2] Cummings claimed he only usedviagra when doing back-to-back sex scenes or working with very demanding directors.[3] He was inducted into theAVN Hall of Fame in 2007 and theXRCO Hall of Fame in 2011.[4][5]
Cummings died in his sleep on October 5, 2019, at age 79; he had been battlingAlzheimer's disease in his latter years.[6] Due to his record of armed service, Dave was laid to rest atMiramar National Cemetery inSan Diego, California.[7]
