Daula (Classical Mandaic:ࡃࡀࡅࡋࡀ), alternatively known asŠabaṭ (Classical Mandaic:ࡔࡀࡁࡀࡈ),[1] is the first month of theMandaean calendar.[2] The month begins withDehwa Rabba, or New Year's Day. TheFeast of the Great Shishlam is celebrated on the sixth day of the month.[3]
It is the Mandaic name for the constellationAquarius.[2] It currently corresponds to July / August in the Gregorian calendar due to a lack of a leap year in the Mandaean calendar.
