Darío Brizuela Arrieta (born 8 November 1994) is a Spanish professionalbasketball player forFC Barcelona of the SpanishLiga ACB and theEuroLeague. He also represents theSpain national team.

Career

Dario Brizuela was trained in the young teams of Easo. In 2011, he was signed byEstudiantes, where he played in the junior team and also played 13 games with the reserve team inLiga EBA.

Brizuela made his debut inLiga ACB in the round 32 of the2012–13 season, where his club lost by a score of 93–82 againstReal Madrid.[1]

In August 2014, he was loaned toPeñas Huesca, of theLEB Oro.[2] After the 2014–15 season, his loan finished and he returned to Estudiantes.

On 13 July 2023, he signed withFC Barcelona of the SpanishLiga ACB.[3]

Spain national team

Brizuela won the silver medal at the2014FIBA U20 European Championship. He has also played at the2010 FIBA U16 European Championship and the2013 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.

His official match debut with theSpain national team was on 1 July 2018 againstBelarus in a2019 FIBA World Cup qualifier.
