Cullen americanum is a plant in theFabaceae family, foundNorthern Africa,Italy,Portugal, andSpain,[1] and despite its species epithet,americanum, is an introduced species in theAmericas.[1]
It was first described in 1753 asPsoralea americana byCarl Linnaeus,[1][2] but was reassigned to the genusCullen in 1919 byPer Axel Rydberg.[1][3]
