Christopher William Gitsham (15 October 1888 – 16 June 1956) was a South Africanathlete, who mainly competed in the men'smarathon.[1]

Gitsham competed for South Africa at the1912 Summer Olympics held inStockholm,Sweden where he won thesilver medal in the men's marathon event.[2] He also competed in the marathon at the1920 Summer Olympics, but did not finish.[2]
