Chemsdine Talbi (Arabic:شَمْس الدِّين الطَّالِبِيّ; born 9 May 2005) is a Belgian professionalfootballer who plays as awinger forBelgian Pro League sideClub Brugge.
Talbi was withRoyale Union Tubize-Braine until 2015 when he joinedClub Brugge.[2] In July 2022 Talbi signed a three-year professional contract with Club Brugge into 2025.[3] He started the 2022–23 season playing forClub NXT, in theChallenger Pro League, Belgian football’s second division.[4] He scored on his professional debut againstSL16 FC in August 2022,[5] and again the following week againstLierse Kempenzonen.[6]
In February 2023 Talbi began training as part of the first team squad of Club Brugge.[7] This was reported as a reward for his playing form.[8] On 18 March 23, he made his league debut for Club Brugge when he came on as a second half substitute againstKV Kortrijk.[9]
Talbi would also score his first professional goal against Kortrijk in a 3–0 away win at theGuldensporen Stadion on 14 September 2024,[10] Four days later, he made hisUEFA Champions League debut as a substitute in a 3–0 loss toBorussia Dortmund.[11]
On February 18, 2025, he scored his first Champions League goals, netting a brace in a 3–1 away victory againstAtalanta in the second leg of theknockout play-offs, contributing to his team's progression to the Round of 16 with a 5–2 aggregate win.[12]
Born in Belgium, Talbi is of Moroccan descent.[13] He played forBelgium U17 in the2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, scoring a goal in a 3–1 victory againstTurkey U17.[14][15]
On 3 March 2025, Talbi chose to representMorocco.[16]
