This article is about the Offaly Gaelic footballer. For the prelate, theologian and writer, seeCahal Daly.

Cathal Daly is aGaelic football coach and former player forTullamore and theOffaly county team. He is a former Offalycaptain.[1]

Daly won aLeinster Senior Football Championship title in 1997 and aNational Football League title in1998.[2] With his club he won threeOffaly Senior Football Championships: 2000, 2002 and 2007.[2][3]

He played in a defensive position.[2]Offaly was the first to achieve anAll Star Award representing every number (1–15) in both codes when Daly received his #4 All Star Award in 1997.[2][4] It was also Offaly's first football All Star since 1983.[5]

Daly is a member of theGarda Síochána.[5] As of 2006, he was stationed inCastlecomer.[6] He retired as a player in 2009 and later took up coaching.[2] He was involved with his club in this capacity in 2024, when Tullamore won a first set of consecutive Offaly SFC titles since 1926.[4] He has also worked with the Offaly minor football team.[5]
