Cameron Calhoun (born October 2, 2004) is an Americancollege footballcornerback for theAlabama Crimson Tide. He previously played for theMichigan Wolverines and theUtah Utes.

Early life

Calhoun attendedWinton Woods High School inCincinnati, Ohio, and was rated as a three-starrecruit.[1] He held over 20NCAA Division I offers, which he trimmed to a final four of Boston College, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and West Virginia.[1][2] Calhoun initially committed to play for theWest Virginia Mountaineers,[1] and theCincinnati Bearcats.[3] After two de-commitments, he made his final decision to playcollege football for theMichigan Wolverines.[4]

College career

Michigan

As afreshman in 2023, Calhoun appeared in two games and recorded no statistics for the Michigan Wolverines team that won a national championship that season.[5] After the 2023 regular season, he entered theNCAA transfer portal and opted out of playing in the postseason.[6]

Utah

Calhoun transferred to play for theUtah Utes.[5] He entered the Utes' rotation after starter Kenan Johnson went down with a season-ending injury in the 2024 season opener.[7] In week 3, Calhoun got his first collegiate interception in a win overUtah State.[8] On December 10, 2024, he entered the transfer portal for a second time in as many years.[9]

Alabama

On December 18, 2024, Calhoun announced that he would transfer to play for theAlabama Crimson Tide.[10]
