TheCaffè Fiorio is a historic café inTurin, northernItaly, located at Via Po 8.

Founded in 1780,[1] Fiorio became a fashionable meeting place for the artistic, intellectual and political classes of the capital of theKingdom of Sardinia. Frequented byUrbano Rattazzi,[2]Massimo D'Azeglio,[2]Giovanni Prati,Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour[2] (who founded theWhist Club here),Giacinto Provana di Collegno,Cesare Balbo andFriedrich Nietzsche,[3][4] it became known as "the café of theMachiavellis and of the pigtails."[5][6]
