TheQueensland Thunder is an Australian clubwater polo team that competes in theNational Water Polo League. They have a men's team and a women's team and are based inBrisbane.[1]
The Queensland Thunder was formed in 2018 after aWater Polo Australia review required the two Brisbane based teams – theQueensland Breakers and theBrisbane Barracudas – to form a single entity.
Brisbane Barracudas Water Polo club formerlyTugun Water Polo club was Founded in 1963 and played home games atMusgrave Park Swimming Centre.[2][3]
Queensland Breakers was Founded in 2003 and played home games atThe Valley Pool inFortitude Valley and won the men'sAustralian Water Polo League in 2007.
