Bohnsdorf (German:[ˈboːnsˌdɔʁf]ⓘ) is a district in theboroughTreptow-Köpenick ofBerlin,Germany. It is located in the south-east of the city.
The locality was first mentioned in 1375 with the name ofBenistorp.
The locality is situated in the southeastern suburb ofBerlin and borders withAltglienicke,Grünau, and with the municipality ofSchönefeld, in theBrandenburg district ofDahme-Spreewald. Close to the village liesBerlin Brandenburg Airport. Previously when the airport was known asBerlin Schönefeld Airport before Brandenburg's construction the former runway 07L/25R ended near Bohnsdorf.
Bohnsdorf gained some notoriety for its unsolvable traffic problems with theBohnsdorfer Kreisel.[2]
