Bismuth pentoxide is achemical compound containingbismuth andoxygen. It is a dark red powder decomposing above 100 °C. It has thechemical formulaBi2O5. It is not known as a pure substance, but is usually mixed with water,bismuth tetroxide orbismuth trioxide.[1]
