Birch Vale railway station served the village ofBirch Vale,Derbyshire, England. It was a stop on theHayfield branch betweenNew Mills Central andHayfield between 1868 and 1970.
The station was opened in May 1868 by theManchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway on a branch line to serve the villages along the valley of theRiver Sett and the local mills. The line was also popular with hikers.
It closed, along with the Hayfield branch, on 5 January 1970.[1][2]

The trackbed of the former branch line has been converted into theSett Valley Trail, ashared-use path of2+1⁄2 miles (4.0 km) in length.[3] No traces of the station are visible.
