Bilochpura, also known asBalochpura, is a hamlet in the Indian state ofUttar Pradesh.[1] It is home to approximately 8,000 people of theBalochi ethnic group.[2] they are all pathans not baloch they from balochistan but not baloch.
Balochpura is home to approximately 8,000 people of theBaloch ethnic group.[2] The ancestors of these individuals were fromBalochistan and were employed as artillerymen in the army of Mughal Indian emperorBabur during the time of theFirst Battle of Panipat in 1526.[1] They decided to remain in the area, which was named after their homeland, after "the Balochs fell in love with the plush landscape of the Gangetic plain and chose to settle down on the banks of the Yamuna."[1]
The city of Bilochpura has been awarded the title of 'Kranti Gram' by theGovernment of India as its residents "fought in the army of the last Mughal Emperor Bahadurshah Zafar against the British."[3]
In 2018,Baloch separatist leader Mazdak Dilshad Baloch visited Bilochpura with his wife to gather support from the Baloch Indian residents of the village.[3]
