The company was founded bySweet Saraya in 2005 as the World Association of Women's Wrestling, a sister company to her husbandRicky Knight'sWorld Association of Wrestling.[1] The name was later changed to Bellatrix Female Warriors, asbellatrix is Latin for "female warrior".[1] The company trains their own wrestlers, as well as hosts international talent.[1][3] Trainees are taught traditional Britishcatch wrestling.[1] In addition, shows are promoted via video on demand or internetpay-per-view (iPPV).[1][4][5]
Bellatrix has working agreements with Real Quality Wrestling,Shimmer Women Athletes,[1] IndyGurlz Australia,[1] and LDN Wrestling.[2] The promotions cross-promote shows and championships.[1][2]
