Barossa is a 498-hectare (1,230-acre) nature reserve north ofCamberley inSurrey. It is owned by theMinistry of Defence and managed by theSurrey Wildlife Trust.[1] It is part of the Thames Basin HeathsSpecial Protection Area[2] and theBroadmoor to Bagshot Woods and HeathsSite of Special Scientific Interest[3]
This site is mainly heathland with areas of pine and deciduous woodland. Birds includenightjars,woodlarks andDartford warblers, there are snakes such asadders andgrass snakes and lizards includeslow worms andcommon lizards.[1]
