Babil Khan (born 15 May 1998)[1] is an Indian actor. The son of actorIrrfan Khan, he began his career as acamera assistant, before making his acting debut inHindi cinema withQala (2022).[2] He has since starred in the miniseriesThe Railway Men (2023).

Early life and education

Babil Khan was born on 15 May 1998,[3] inMumbai to actorIrrfan Khan and writer Sutapa Sikdar.[4][5] He has a younger brother, Ayaan Khan.[6]

Khan completed his schooling at Tridha School, Mumbai and studied further at theUniversity of Westminster,London.[7]

Career

After completing his studies, he started as a camera assistant in Bollywood filmQarib Qarib Single.[8]

In 2022, he made his acting debut withAnvita Dutt's psychological dramaQala alongsideTripti Dimri.[9] He was critically acclaimed for his performance.[10]

In 2023, he was seen playingJuhi Chawla's son Siddharth Menon in aNetflix original filmFriday Night Plan.[11] He next starred inYRF's web seriesThe Railway Men, a story onBhopal Gas Tragedy, alongsideDivyendu Sharma,Kay Kay Menon andR. Madhavan in pivotal roles.[12][13]

He will also star inShoojit Sircar'sThe Umesh Chronicles withAmitabh Bachchan.[14][15]
