B. V. Rajarama Bhat is an Indianmathematician specialising inoperator theory. He is a Professor ofMathematics inIndian Statistical Institute,Bangalore.^[1]

Professor Bhat obtained his MSc and PhD degrees from theIndian Statistical Institute,Kolkata.

He was awarded theShanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2007, the highest science award inIndia, in the mathematical sciences category.^[2]
