TheAube (French pronunciation:[ob]) is ariver inFrance, a righttributary of theSeine. It is 248.9 kilometres (154.7 mi) long.[1] The river gives its name to theAubedepartment.

Its source is in theHaute-Marne department, on the plateau ofLangres, near the town ofAuberive. It flows through the departments of Haute-Marne,Côte-d'Or, Aube, andMarne. It flows into the river Seine nearMarcilly-sur-Seine. Cities along the river includeBar-sur-Aube andArcis-sur-Aube.
