Astrakhan District (Astrahan audany) is adistrict ofAqmola Region in northernKazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is thevillage ofAstrakhanka. Population: 27,419 (2009 census results);[3]32,980 (1999 census results).[3]
TheIshim river,Kalkutan,Arshaly andBoksyk flow across Astrakhan District. LakesBarshyn,Alakol andUzynkol are located in the district.[4][5]
