TheArrondissement of Calais is anarrondissement of France in thePas-de-Calaisdepartment in theHauts-de-Franceregion. It has 52communes.[2] Its population is 152,091 (2021), and its area is 593.4 km2 (229.1 sq mi).[3]

The arrondissement of Calais was created in 1962 from part of thearrondissement of Boulogne-sur-Mer.[4][5] At the January 2017 reorganisation of the arrondissements of Pas-de-Calais, it gained one commune from the arrondissement of Boulogne-sur-Mer and 23 communes from thearrondissement of Saint-Omer.[6]
As a result of the reorganisation of thecantons of France which came into effect in 2015, the borders of the cantons are no longer related to the borders of the arrondissements. The cantons of the arrondissement of Calais were, as of January 2015:[7]
