Argia/ɑːrˈdʒaɪə/,Argea/ɑːrˈdʒiːə/, orArgeia^[1] (Ancient Greek:Ἀργεία,romanized: Argeía) may refer to several figures inGreek mythology:

• Argia, one of the 3,000Oceanids,water-nymph daughters of theTitansOceanus and his sister-spouseTethys.^[2] She was the mother ofPhoroneus, by her brotherInachus, ariver-god ofArgos.^[3] Argeia may also have been the mother (by Inachus) ofIo.^[4]
• Argia, wife ofPolybus and mother ofArgus.^[5] The later was the builder of the shipArgo from the story ofJason and theArgonauts.^[6] Others creditedDanaus^[7] orArestor^[8] to be this Argus' father.
• Argia, an Argive princess as the daughter of KingAdrastus andAmphithea, daughter ofPronax. She marriedPolynices, son ofOedipus and bore him three sons:Thersander,^[9]Adrastus andTimeas.
• Argia, a Theban princess as the daughter of KingAutesion. She marriedAristodemus and became the mother of twins,Eurysthenes andProcles, the ancestors of the two royal houses ofSparta.^[10]
• Argeia, was also an epithet of the Greek goddessHera derived fromArgos, the principal seat of her worship.
