InGreek mythology,Aora (Ancient Greek: Ἀώρας) was anymph by whom the town ofAoros inCrete was named after.[1] Aristocrats from the town ofEleutherna claimed descent from Aora and her husband Eleuther, one of theKouretes.[2]
