Antonio del Aguila Vela y Paz was born inCiudad Rodrigo,Spain in 1480.[3][4]On 11 April 1537, he was appointed during the papacy ofPope Paul III asBishop of Guadix.[2][3]On 9 April 1546, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Paul III asBishop of Zamora.[1][3]He served as Bishop of Zamora until his death in 1560.[1][3]
