TheAngara-Vitim batholith is group ofplutons in the easternSiberia, just east ofLake Baikal. The batholith formed in theDevonian–Early Carboniferous likely in connection to amantle plume. It formed about the same time and by the same process as theKalba-Narym batholith in eastern Kazakhstan.[1]
Common rock types aregranite withbiotite andgranodiorite. The rocks belong to thehigh-K andshoshonite subseries of thecalc-alkaline magma series. Some rocks do belong to the alkaline magma series.[1]
