Amar Dedić (pronounced[ǎmardêːditɕ]; born 18 August 2002) is a professionalfootballer who plays as aright-back forLigue 1 clubMarseille. Born in Austria, he plays for theBosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Dedić started his professional career atRed Bull Salzburg, who assigned him toLiefering in 2019 and loaned him toWolfsberger AC in 2021. In 2025, he signed with Marseille.
A former youth international for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dedić made his senior international debut in 2022, earning 18caps since.
Dedić started playing football at a local club, before joiningSturm Graz's youth setup in 2012. In 2015, he moved toRed Bull Salzburg's youth academy. In August 2019, he signed his first professional contract with the team.[2] He made his professional debut playing for Red Bull Salzburg'sfeeder squad,Liefering, againstAmstetten on 26 July at the age of 16.[3] On 19 June 2020, he scored his first professional goal in a triumph overDornbirn.[4]
In July, Dedić signed a new four-year deal with Red Bull Salzburg.[5] He made his official debut for the club in anAustrian Cup game againstBregenz on 9 September.[6]
In June 2021, he was sent on a season-long loan toWolfsberger AC.[7]
Dedić made his league debut for Red Bull Salzburg on 6 August 2022 againstHartberg.[8] He debuted in theUEFA Champions League againstMilan on 6 September.[9] On 19 October, he scored his first goal for the side in anAustrian Cup match againstAdmira Wacker.[10]
In January 2023, he extended his contract with the team until June 2027.[11]
He won his first trophy with the club on 21 May, when they were crowned league champions and managed to score his first league goal in a defeat ofSturm Graz.[12]
In February 2025, Dedić was transferred to French outfitMarseille for an undisclosed fee.[13] He made his competitive debut for the squad on 9 February againstAngers.[14]
Dedić representedBosnia and Herzegovina at all youth levels. He also served as acaptain of theunder-17 team.[15]
In March 2022, he received his first senior call up, forfriendly games againstGeorgia andLuxembourg.[16] He debuted against the latter on 29 March.[17]
On 23 March 2023, in aUEFA Euro 2024 qualifier againstIceland, Dedić scored his first senior international goal.[18]
