Alison Bell is an Australian stage, film and television actress and writer.

Early life and education

Born inYoung, New South Wales and educated inCanberra, she completed anArts/Law degree at theAustralian National University before undertaking an acting course at theVictorian College of the Arts, where she graduated in 2004.

Career

Bell has worked intelevision,documentary film andtheatre.[1] She is perhaps best known for her performances on theABC TV seriesLaid, for which she was nominated for anAACTA Award[2] and in theSydney Theatre Company's production ofDoubt, for which she won aHelpmann Award.[3]

In 2017 she performed in the acclaimed ABC TV seriesThe Letdown. She starred as Audrey, the main character, and also served as writer and co-creator of the series.[4][5][6]
