Alfons Pawelczyk (born 1933 inParnow, Province of Pomerania) is a Germanpolitician. As a representative of theSocial Democratic Party, he wasHamburg Senator (i.e. state minister) of the Interior andsecond mayor in Hamburg.

Pawelczyk waslieutenant colonel of the Germanfederal armed forces and member of the Germanfederal parliament from 1969 to 1980.[1][2][circular reference] He was also member of theHamburg Parliament, in 1982 state minister (German:Senator) of the Interior, and in 1986 second mayor of Hamburg.[3]
