Alfred F. Meakin (born August 30, 1938) is a retiredtrack and field athlete.

Athletics career

He representedGreat Britain in the men's100 metres at the1964 Summer Olympics inTokyo, Japan.[1]

He won the bronze medal in the men's 4 × 100 meters relay at the1962 European Athletics Championships inBelgrade,Yugoslavia, alongsideRon Jones,Berwyn Jones, andDavid Jones.

He representedEngland and won agold medal in the 4 x 110 yards relay withPeter Radford,Len Carter and David Jones, at the1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games inPerth, Western Australia.[2][3]
